Spiritual Formation through the Arts | Dr. Taylor Worley
In what ways are you being formed? Spiritual Formation through the Arts begins with a solid theological foundation for spiritual formation from Scripture. The class aims to make a practical link to the role of the arts in discipleship. It will be both experientially rich and content rich.
If you love the world of the arts, you will have the opportunity to connect your faith and spiritual practices with something you love. For many, this might be a new connection and for others, it will allow you to make deeper connections. Dr. Worley hopes to equip students with step-by-step strategies for using what they're learning on their own and share with others.
This class runs October 10 through December 6, 2022. (Thanksgiving week off)
Lakelight classes are designed for lay leaders who want to take a step beyond a normal Bible study, but not jump into a seminary class. We bring in content experts who provide instruction around facilitated conversations.
Classes last 8 weeks and are 90 minutes each class session. Reading and assignments are built into the class, but no grades or project feedback provided from the instructors. Class fees, including reading materials, are $39. Stay tuned for sample syllabus.
